Halcyon Days Enamel Box featuring the Children of the Chapel Royal crossing St James's Park, Westminster, a watercolour c.1790 by an unknown artist.The Chapel Royal is the ancient foundation of Priests, choristers and Vestrymen appointed to serve the Sovereign. Choristers known as "The Children of the Chapel Royal" gather in an Autumnal scene in St James's Park, Westminster, wearing the Chapel livery in accordance with King Charles II's warrant of 1661.
