Comyns, one of the oldest and most prestigious silversmiths, has been producing masterpieces for over three centuries and can trace its hallmark back to 1645.Every silver creation of Comyns comes with five hallmarks: The William Comyns hallmark; two fineness of silver content marks affixed by an independent assay office; the assay office mark and the date letter or year of assay. Stunning pieces for those who enjoy and indulge in the luxury of sterling silver. Filled with bonded porcelain and plated with a minimum of 100 microns of fine silver, these silver sculptures are therefore eligible to carry sterling silver hallmarks from an independent assay office.
